Enoc Sanchez

Research Assistant

Enoc Sanchez serves as a Research Assistant with the OCE Lab. He was born and raised in New York. Enoc moved to Iowa to earn a dual degree in business administration and biblical studies and never left. He is currently working in insurance, board president for his local Habitat for Humanity, and on the board of directors for the Multicultural Family Center. Enoc is also a founding member of a local grassroots Latino organization called Dubuqe Unidos.

The OCE Lab’s Kootenai County team extends our research on civic engagement to North Idaho, documenting how local organizations connect people to community life.

Jason Nye

Research Assistant

Jason Nye, the Executive Director of CDAIDE, a nonprofit in Coeur d'Alene, ID, graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s in communications. He is a Research Assistant with the OCE Lab. Jason spends his free time with his family and likes board and video games, camping, and playing sports.

Kim Sumners holds a BS in natural resources from Oregon State University. She is a Research Assistant with the OCE Lab. Kim has an 11-year-old son. She loves wildlife, hiking, and going to the lake with her son and husband.

The OCE Lab’s Adirondack team helps us understand civic engagement across small towns and rural communities in northern New York.

Miona Amoriell

Research Assistant

Miona Amoriell was born in Serbia and earned a degree in English language and literature from the University of Belgrade. She serves as a Research Assistant with the OCE Lab. Miona plans to pursue graduate studies in education and currently runs a restaurant with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis with her two daughters, cooking, and gardening.

Bella Susino is pursuing a Master of Science in Interactive Media and has a background in marketing and communications. She is a Research Assistant with the OCE Lab. In her spare time, Bella enjoys paddling, reading, gardening, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
